Assisting disadvantaged children in Sri Lanka

Who are you trying to help? What issue are you trying to address?

1. Craft items (including rubber stamps, lettering machine, quilling supplies and cross stitch fabric for making greeting cards; soap and candle moulds) to assist in providing employment and generating funding for tsunami widows and to purchase milk powder for children

2. Obsolete clothing and stationery (adults and childrens’ summer clothing & school stationery) for distribution to disadvantaged groups including children in Orphanages, Plantations, Creche, War victims to name a few. Eg: shirts, caps, underwear, coloured pencils, pens, drink bottles, face and hand towels, toothbrushes and toiletry items, watches, clocks, calculators and anything practical

3. Funding for scholarship program for disadvantaged children and tsunami victims

4. Hair dressing equipment such as scissors and hair cutting kits to assist with setting up village Barber shops by widows

5. Mobile phones, digital cameras, small printers that are distributed to set up ‘Individual Income generating Business’ (the mobile phones help with communication and greatly improve potential for additional work availability)

Goods are required in Australia for Annual Christmas Shipment end September
